If we give our clients a Buy recommendation, our analysts believes that the security will outperform other companies in their sector on a risk adjusted basis and that the security is deserving of a (continued) BUY rating.
If we give our clients a Hold recommendation, our analysts believes that the security is expected to perform in line with other companies in their sector on a risk adjusted basis and the analyst believes that the security is deserving of a (continued) HOLD rating.
If we give our clients a Sell recommendation, our clients are advised to sell the security or hold alternative securities within the sector. Stocks in this category are expected to under-perform other companies on a risk adjusted basis and that the security is deserving of a (continued) SELL rating.
Placing a stock Under Review does not revise the current investment rating or recommendation given by the analyst. A stock is generally placed Under Review when the relevant company has a significant material event with further information pending or to be announced. Our analysts will place a stock Under Review while they wait for the sufficient information to be released, so they can then re-evaluate the company's financial situation and substantiate whether the stock is a Buy, Hold or Sell Recommendation.
